We hesitated about going to Chinatown as we have been to
China several times plus San Francisco has a very large Chinatown and we have
been there many times. However, it was
listed as a major sightseeing attraction in Singapore, so we decided to
visit. We were glad we did. It was very, very colorful.
The shops were getting ready for Chinese New Years plus had lots
of general stuff for tourists.
There was also a very pretty temple, the Buddha Tooth Relic
Temple. It looked much newer (maybe more
colorful and shiny) than many of the temples that we have seen in South East
Asia.
In the evening we headed back to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel
for the waterfront music and light show.
